In this article Adrian talks about Daniel Sturridge and if he should move clubs in January for extra playing time.
Since the departure of Suarez in 2014, the games to goal ratio of Sturridge has dropped. He has only managed to score 17 goals in the league including 2 this season. Also through seasons injuries haven’t been the best to the England international himself.
With the likes of Firmino, Mané and Salah be being in excellent form, meaning it would make it hard for Klopp to make any changes to his side. Sturridge has made 9 appearances this season in the league, 4 of them coming on as a substitute.
With World Cup approaching soon, Sturridge still has hope of making the squad but for him to earn his place, he needs to play games regularly to stay fit. Personally, yes I am a big fan of Sturridge but for him to have the game time he wants, maybe a move to a other club is the right move weather it’s on loan or permanent.
I am sure that the fans would hate to see him leave but unnamed reports are claiming that he is unhappy with his playing time and wants a move out the club .
When Klopp was asked about the future of Daniel Sturridge, he refused to comment. Klopp just said for him to remain “focused” Liverpool have a lot of strikers in the team which means the competition is high.
Sturridge did start the game against his former club on Saturday but failed to make an attempt on target.
